Ambedkar Foundation

About Us

A Public Charitable Trust rooted in Jharkhand

Ambedkar Foundation was established in 2009 by a group of socially committed individuals to promote community development and social empowerment across Jharkhand.

Vision

To create a developed society and nation, free from all forms of exploitation and discrimination, based on democratic principles and constitutional values.

Mission

To organize, educate and empower the rural poor and deprived communities through community mobilization, training, advocacy, and entitlement for socio-economic growth, cultural promotion, ecological balance, and self-reliance.

In its initial phase, the Foundation focused on forming and strengthening Self Help Groups (SHGs), building a grassroots presence across Hazaribagh, Chatra, and Giridih. It primarily serves marginalized communities — with a special focus on women, children, SC/ST groups, minorities, and other backward sections of society — working to improve livelihoods, promote education and health awareness, and foster inclusive, sustainable development.
