Secretary's Message

When we established Ambedkar Foundation in 2009, our goal was simple: to walk alongside the communities in Hazaribagh, Chatra, and Giridih that had been left furthest behind — and to do so with honesty, patience, and respect.

We began with Self Help Groups because we believed then — as we believe now — that lasting change comes from within communities, not from outside them. Over sixteen years, that conviction has shaped every programme we have run: from education and health camps to legal rights awareness and livelihood enterprise.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's call to educate, agitate, organise remains our operating principle. We are grateful to our partners, funders, and above all the communities who have trusted us. There is much more to do.
